I knew I remembered that Meyer name from somewhere, Don!
Look at this... a Meyer lens on an "Enolde" camera from Franz Kochmann, produced in Dresden, Germany. From 1924!

I will make some more shots of that camera for you tonight.

Nice. I don't really know much about the brand but that's a cool find. Is it yours?

Yes. It comes in leather box, has some original plates and even some film in a box with it. I do not know the state of the film, I should inspect them in a dark room. Could the film still be in good state I wonder?
But using it seems to be a shame...

No idea. Might be worth running film through it for curiosity's sake. I would...as long as I knew the camera wasn't in fragile condition. :)

hhmmmmm time to pull out the geneology/ancestry books. My grandmothers maiden name was Meyer.

Unless Meyer is a German form of Smith or Jones...maybe I can find a connection.
