They have evidently made it harder for folks to get the "deals". I stumbled onto using PSJAN07xxx (for example PSJAN07040) and this only gets you to individual items. It's really hit or miss what you get, unless there's a pattern to them. These codes usually originate from a show or exhibition and I wonder if someone has a list posted somewhere that can be found with Google.

i might just end up guessing it.
PSJAN07060 and up gets you p&s canons and 80 and up is small storage. i have to leave work, but maybe i can get around to finding it here in a couple of days or so.

there's only one make of the 70-200 IS right? would there be any problems with buying one 5 years old that you guys could think of? lenses don't slow down on autofocusing as the years go on or anything do they? sorry for the newb questions, but i've been doing this for less than a year.
also would you recommend buying a 5 year old 70-200 f/2.8 IS for $1400 over getting a new one?

it wasn't exactly the one for 1600. it was the gray market version for 1650 at adorama. i appreciate the attempt. today i will be putting in codes until i find it. i found high end HD camcorders on there for around $4000 so i'm thinking i can probably find this lens....although i'm kinda thinking the way to go would be to get a used one from ebay for $300 cheaper, then i could buy another lens also.
any thoughts on ebay lenses? i got my 24-70 off there and it worked out ok.

PSJAN07001 through PSJAN07010 are canon bodies from the xt to the 1ds mkII.

Son of a! I just bought the 10-22 and 70-200. I did get the double rebates though - I wonder if the search codes were available then and could be used on top of the rebates?
