At least I think so.

10D + Super-Takumar 50mm f/1.4 (came with my Spotmatic). Pushed through LR.

I bid on and won a Meyer-Optik 135mm f/2.8 with a 15[!] bladed aperture. It's coming from the UK so once it arrives (probably forever and a day from now), I'll post up some snaps.

DAMN, they look good Don, how did you attach them to the 10D?

Thanks. Duck Tape. Quack! :D

No seriously though....an M42 (Screw mount) to EOS adapter. Less than $20 on eBay. Manual focus, manual metering - same as when mounted to the Spotmatic since there's no AF on these lenses.

Ok so you meter with the hand held and then just adjust manual aperture on the lens and speed on the camera with the matching aperture

You can still meter through the camera. You just get "00" for the aperture value in the camera itself since there's no electrical communication between the lens and the body. The aperture is adjusted manually on the lens itself, and since metering is through the lens, the camera doesn't need to actually know what aperture is set. It just goes by the amount of light being passed through. This is why older camera bodies with similar mounts have no aperture dials. They only need shutter speed dials since the shutter is the camera and adjusted there. The aperture is in the lens and adjusted on the lens.

I'm still deciding whether to go on a 35mm f/2. Kinda pricey for a used M42 but still cheaper than anything well built and good in AF....
