Hi my dear friends,

I was there at Yelehanka ( Bangalore) as the worlds top fighters and transporters wrestled for the attention of the viewers and also the GOI to bag the prestigious order for 126 multi-role combat aircraft.

The Gripen fromt he swedish aircraft manufacturer SAAB and the F-16 and the F/A-18's from Lockheed Martin put up an impressive aerobatic performance to capture the hearts of the audience.

But it was the MiG-35 multi-role fighter and the SU-30 MKI (flown by Russian pilots)which stole the show with their stunning aerobatics. On display was the Pugachev's Cobra , a gravity-defyng maneourve famous the world over and performed by Russian pilots in both their aircraft.

I will post the pictures of the maneourves later , but for now have a look at the static display of the aircrafts in all their majesty.

All photographs taken with Canon A540 with or without the built in 4X zoom

Those are nice shots ;) . The shot of the SU-30 (the cockpit close-up) is very nice.
Some shots are a bit blurry tough. Also try to prevent loosing parts of the plane (like the business jet, you've missed a part of the tail wing, or the first global master pic, but that one was probably going too fast :) )

Thanks lilchilichoco and wutske for your comments.I am not exactly looking for appreciation but criticisms as well , so that i can take better photos. We are all here to learn. Thanks lilchilichoco and wutske for both.

Well , I do have a lot more photos from the airshow, I managed to click 520 of them in Large mode and I ran out of space towards the end. There has been some problems with photobucket and its not uploading photos quickly.I am in the process of uploading all of them.Once its done I will post them a well.I haev pics of Tejas , Gripen and the show stealer Mig-35 as well.

I just need some time to upload.

Having the A540 was an advantage.I could rapidly click photos even without using the continous shoot mode.

I hope to purchase zoom lenses by the time the airshow comes again in 2009 and hope to comeback with even more exciting stuff.

Thank you all once again.
