The dog kind of looks like he's saying, tongue-in-cheek: "If I had one of those, I wouldn't have gotten wet!"

It obviously appears as if this would be an excellent "over-the-maddening-crowd" device for the pro-photog ... except you need to grow another pair of arms to make use of it and your camera.

i swear forno, you've been steppin it up.

you could crop whatever that is out of the background, but i think this picture is almost too good. weird...exif data shows f/45.

Cheers Adam,

That shot was actually a "what if", artistically I thought it would work, just wasnt sure technically. It was done in Tv and looking straight at the sunset basically so f/45 might be right?

Not sure if the lens is just never gonna give me the sharpness I expect or something is out of calibration but the 75-300/350D combo isnt keeping up with these guys

Tell you what though, these things look like sooooo much fun, might have to sell the snowboard with the way the weather has been behaving in Australia lately

Oh and need a CIRC POl for the 75-300 :D

Keep your snowboard, they use those things when the lake freezes too in Breckenridge, CO. http://www.coloradokiteforce.com/home/index.php

Nice Shots BTW.

"Gotta get me one of these gizmos"

Do think you can be airborn and shoot at the same time??:D

Great pics forno. On the getting "air" pictures, do you have any with the water in the same picture? It would make it even cooler to see how far off the water they are (besides #6). Again, impressive shots.

Your dog looks like he's been having some fun.

Nice shots, I especially like that sun reflection shot, nice and golden. I'd love to try doing that sport.

I'd never hook myself up to one of those things. Knowing my luck I'd catch a brisk wind and land in Oz.

She's lucky to be alive, there just isn't enough oxygen up at that altitude. Those kites Forno shot are a lot smaller than a paraglider, they shouldn't be able to fly you very far, they aren't designed to fly, more to pull, kind of like a free speedboat.

That woman must not be only lucky, but a great pilot and in incredible shape. By all rights she should be dead.

Forno, nice shots. I've seen those gizmos on the San Francisco Bay. They do it near Fort Point, just inside the Golden Gate, where the winds are strong. I've seen 'em do some amazing acrobatics, at high speed.
