Hey All,

I was looking at some SLR cameras such as Canon GII and Konica Maxxum 5. Almost all the SLR cameras I looked used "CR2" batteries. I was wondering if someone can tell me how long these batteries last in SLR Cameras. These batteries are a bit more expensive then the regular AA batteries and my main concern is having to constantly spend money for the CR2 batteries. But if they last a long time, then its worth the money.

Thats why my main question was how long do they last typically. 100 shots? 150 shots? Or more/less? I would appreciate your help! Thanks.

Since these are not dSLR's I'm not sure that you will get much of an answer. Better to google.com and look for the specifications on these cameras.

I looked up the camera, the G2 Rebel (not sure if you have the rebel specifically or whatever, but I have a feeling camera times are common to most of them):

http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelTechSpecsAct&fcategoryid=138&modelid=8771

At the bottom are the # of rolls one can go through with the camera. I'll paste that information here too:

----Begin Paste
Ambient Temperature
Shooting Conditions

No Flash
50% Flash
100% Flash

Normal (68°F / 20°C)
85
35
17

Low (4°F / -20°C)
60
25
12

---END PASTE

Hope that helps

Thanks for the reply.....

I think most cameras' battery usage should be something close to what you posted for the GII.
