Hi,

I currently own an Olympus Camedia C220z but it's a few years old now, it seems to refuse to take a photo after starting sometimes and is far too large to fit into a jeans pocket.

I'm looking to buy a new camera that will be good enough for 6x4 or 7x5 (perhaps higher on occasion) photos, and is as small and as cheap as possible.

I was considering an Olympus MJU Mini but after reading reviews and seeing it in a shop it doesn't seem worth the money.

I'd appreciate any serious suggestions, thanks,

For your needs, a three- to four-megapixel camera should suffice. You should take a look at the Canon PowerShot A75 or the Kodak EasyShare CX7430 . Both cameras, though not perfect in all respects, are budget-friendly for their class and should be good enough for a year or two of day-to-day general shooting.

I was at Wal-Mart a few nights ago and found a very small Olympus that had a 3x optical zoom and 3.2mp's for under $150. I think this fits your criteria quite well. I just wish I could remember the model number....

I've had a look at the A75, but the battery compartment makes it far too large to fit into my jeans pocket :(
