View Full Version : S3 defect?
If i look on the inside lens in the S3, I can see wierd little specks that seem to be flaws in the glass. There is many out the outer 25% of the lens.
Should I be looking to return the camera? or is this common? you can see it better near the telephoto end.

Is it the coating? if spots of water or somthing gets on the lens the coating can look as if its defective. Its almost like the coating is an oil or somthing and it can sometimes seperate when some liquids hit the surface. Does this make sence? its kinda wierd, it happens to some types of high end sunglasses also.

but this is on the INNER lens.
you have to look down into the barrel at the second element.

Make sure that it's not a reflection or the lens construction that you're not getting confused by.
I thought mine looked weird one day but it was how I was holding it or some kind of reflection.
