Hi all...

after much debating... i finally decided to buy the fx07 over the canon 800is or the ricoh r5... and so far, i love this little camera...

but i have had one constant trouble with it and i hope you people will have some advice for me...

the camera almost NEVER gets the white-balance right in auto mode... and none of the preset conditions gives me satisfactory results. i always find myself having to set it manually, so thank god there is a manual option... but what is your experiences with this?

also... isnt there any way to change the white balance in any of the cameras preset scene modes? again... it never gets it right when i am using scene modes and its very frustating...

the camera seems to love red!!!

Could you post some samples of what you are describing? You may have a faulty camera. I dont want to scare you with that faulty camera comment, but it could be a possibilty. With that said, WB can be difficult to get dead on accurate. Myself, I find the preset modes useless and limiting and usually the settings the camera picks in those modes arent good enough.

I do want to make it clear, I havent shot with that particular camera, so my comments are based on shooting with other P&S, UltraZooms and DSLRs.
