Dear all,

Do we get any advance info for this event (ie from canon nikon etc) on what they will be showcasing?

And whatever they showcase, is it available to buy straight away?

Thinking of getting D80, but am thinking:

1 - whatever is announced may make the D80 cheaper
2 - whatever is announced may take months to be available in the shops (which means i should get the D80 now or around the beginning of March)

They mostly talk about lenses though. I am more interested in the camera bodies themselves....

usually the info is well controlled
and issued in press releases or rehashed press releases
then you have to wait for reviews of the gear you are interested in

that aside, it will be a competitive period in dSLRs

Can't wait for the PMA, hopefully the new 1D Mk(whatever variant) will be announced and the used MkII and MkII N market will be flooded. Gotta love the gotta have the newest thingamabob types.:D

I can't believe thingamabob isn't underlined! LOL!

I could be wrong, but I doubt there will be anything related to the D80 announced, since that model is still only about half a year old.
