Ok, I've post the first workflow tutorial, link is in my sig. Please keep all tutorial discussion in this thread because I don't check the tutorial pages very often and I will probably miss any comments left there.
Let me know what you think and enjoy!

Paul,
Those tutorials are great. This is the first camera I've had with RAW capability and so I'm still experimenting with RAW.
In the mean time I'm still shooting in jpg. I had a picture of a bird I shot the other day (.jpg) and blew the highlights slightly on the white feathers, just enough to be noticeable.
This would have helped.
Don't suppose you would consider producing these tutes in a downloadable format like .pfd or something, so you could print them out and have 'em on the desk next while working? (Geez this guy wants everything!!)
Anyway, great work, good on ya, and keep 'em comin'.
Cheers

Nice work Paul, this'll surely get the ball rolling for a lot of the new s6Kers we fortunately have popping up on our Fuji forum here (I counted 3 yesterday! Great!) who are intimidated by or are curious about the whole RAW processing cycle.
As soon as I get my computer sorted out, I'll be sure to utilize it as well for my tons o' blown highlights from Disneyland/Getty Center trips. Great, great work, and many, many thanks.

Paul,
Just working through your tutorials again.
In the second one (lightbulb) you mention that you will ignore the blown lows (blue) and only work on the highs.
Does this mean it is possible to fix both on the same image???
How would you have done this you wanted to?
Thanks

You would need to fix the photo twice. Convert with the highlights fixed, and then convert another one with the lows fixed. Take the 2 conversions and merge in photoshop. It's a bit trickier than that but I hope you know what I'm getting at. Maybe I will throw together a tutorial on that but I'm sure you could find one already on the net in the mean time.

Hello people and P_Schneider, I've been looking around for the workflow tutorial and I absolutely can not find it anywhere! Would somebody please post the link or send me a p.m. with the link? It would be greatly appreciated! I've recently picked up a s6k and I'm trying to learn non-point-and-shoot photography.
Thanks in advance,

I have recently bought a fuji s6500fd. I can use the continuous shooting modes, however.............
The 'first 3' setting allows me to hold the shutter down and snap at about 3fps but will only save the first three pictures taken.
The 'last 3' setting allows me to hold the shutter down and snap at about 3fps but will only save the last three pictures taken.
There is a setting for continuous shooting in the same menu but this only takes pictures at about a frame every 2 seconds Is there something I am missing or is this the best I can expect from the camera????????
Please help

Where's the link to the tutorial again?
Here ya go. (http://www.pbase.com/p_schneider/tutorials_s6k) There's not much there, just 2 tutorials. I have moved on from the Finepix software and I am using Photoshop CS3 exclusively now but I just started with it so I haven't done any more tutorials yet.
