View Full Version : Which camera to choose?

So after Christmas and returning one gift that didn't work I found myself with around $200 in gift certificates to Best Buy. I am looking to buy a digital camera, but I don't want to spend much more than $250. The camera that caught my eye initially was a Olympus Stylus 710, mainly because I liked the scratchproot/water resistant qualities. However, I looked at the review for it and it was not very favorable. So then I was thinking about a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 which seemed to get a much more favorable review. Does anyone have any suggestions or know anything about these two cameras specifically? Also, if anyone has any other suggestions as far as cameras to look at, that would also be appreciated. The only stipulations would be that it has to be available at Best Buy and I wanted a fairly small, fit-in-my-pocket type camera. Don't need a whole lot of bells and whistles, just a solid camera that takes good pictures.

Thanks,
-Adam

Adam-

Take a look at the Kodak C-875. It is in your price range, has lots of great features, and fits in your pocket. Here is the link to Jeff's review:
