Hi folks,

This is my first ever post here DC Resource and a newbie in using manual features on my Powershot S2. I'm just wondering if anyone can help me or give me pointers on how to shoot night pictures from inside the plane. Last week I was flying back home from Virginia and my plane flew over the Manhattan skyline. That was the 2nd time I flew over Manhattan but I can never get a decent shot of the Empire State or the Chrysler Building with the image getting blurred out. Can anyone help me out, so the next time I get a flight back home to NYC and pass by the Manhattan skyline again, I will know what to do and what settings to use. Thanks.

hi 500ml! Welcome to the forum!

At this point, the best advice I can give is to increase ISO and use largest aperture (smallest number) possible. You really can't have long shutter speeds because you are moving. I'm not sure though what the optimal shutter speed will be for you.

If you find your high-ISO pictures too noisy, just use some noise-cleaning software like noiseware.

Wait for advise from other people here as well! They might give better advise then mine.

Salamat! :D I saw your Gallery and I noticed your Filipino. Thanks for the tip, I really appreciate it. I'll try to keep that in mind and see how it comes out.
