Need a good camera for about 220! (want to take pics of animals)

Hey...For christmas id really like to know if there was a 4.0 megapixel cam I could get for like 220$ I want to take some close good pics of animals. so im guessing a nice zoom would be good. any ideas?

Take a look at the Sony cybershot p73. Runs about $230 at newegg.com

Yes, a nice zoom would help. Although the camera suggested above is a nice one, it only has a 3x zoom. You can get a Fuji S3000 with a 6x zoom for $199 at Circuit City. It has 3.2mp, which although is 0.8mp less than your specification, would still do just about everything a 4mp would do (IOW, if 3.2 won't cut it, then I doubt that 4 will either).

If you do decide to go to the CC web site, keep in mind that you can place the order through their site and elect to pick up the camera at a local store, if you have one.

There's probably more choices, but this is the only one I can quickly come up with....

Wow - just got an email from CC, the Fuji S3000 is now at $169. You would have enough left over to get a memory card too. I doubt that you can get any higher zoom in a camera worth having for that price.....
