When I started with digital photography I always wondered if it was really necessary to calibrate your monitor. It seemed so, I just didn't know the extent to which it was until I printed some pictures for Christmas presents. Some prints were darker, some colors were off, etc., etc.
I was wondering which products people here use. I've heard good things about both the EyeOne and Spyder but nothing to sway me to either one. It seems that the Spyder2 may be more popular but the Pantone will give you a $200 credit towards an upgrade.
I have the feeling I'll be happy with either however I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I like to get the best product for the money. This site has been a great help.
Thanks,
Tom
