I think I like #1 best. But what camera did you use, and where were these taken? Out here in sunny CA, we don't see this kind of scenery very much! The first couple of shots could've passed for IR shots, I think. Thanks for posting.
I took those with my fz20. A lot of the pics came out with that stark surrealistic look, but the only PP was some sharpening and 'I feel lucky' in Picasa.
We were without electricity for a full week, and thousands are still out. I live in SW MO.
For someone who doesnt like cold weather, I sure live in the wrong place. The weather you just experienced is now making its way through Wisconsin:mad:
Nice pictures, I like #1 and #3 the best, the blue sky in #3 really adds to the photo.

The ice is always beautiful but the results are horrific. I saw those photo's and thought you were from SE Oklahoma.
They had predicted OKC to get that but it missed. What we got was 3 inches of sleet, I had never seen so much sleet before. Schools were out all week the roads were so bad. That forecast had everyone scared, all the grocery stores emptied, hardware stores sold all the non electric heaters and generators. I filled every gas can I had for my generator and all my propane bottles for heat.
We need to keep the utility workers in mind as they struggle endlessly to return power to masses without.
The only pic I have is this little guy (Junco??) trying to stay warm. That was my first pic with my Tcon-17

What part of WI. I pass thru WI several times a year on our way to Watersmeet MI.
La Crosse, WI. Just on the Minnesota border, about 2 hours West of Madison and 1 and a half East of Minneapolis.

That is one of the ways we travel (either 29 or I90) when we cut across to 51 on the way north. I always stop at the rest area (my personal favorite) on east I90 just across the river, the flowers and wildlife are nice to look at. I have some pictures of the lock hidden away somewhere. My Michigan neighbors brother in law lives in La Crosse.
Thanks for the comments, guys. One more set of pics...sort of a before and after, 3 months apart. Same tree. Again, just the basic PP.
Dev, it looks like that power line is/was in a very bad spot, right under that tree:eek:
Mike, La Crosse can be a very beautiful place if you hit it at the right time, since I have been here my entire life, I kinda dont appreciate it as much anymore.

The pciture of this road looks just like my road here just south
of Joplin, Mo. We were just lucky and did't loose power for very
long. Great pictures.
