I have a Fuji Finepix S5000, and for christmas my husband bought me a set of lenses for it. I can't seem to get the camera to focus through the wide angled lens. I have tried the manual setting, but it still doesn't seem very sharp. I wondered whether I was missing something? I haven't used the manual options much on this camera, and am hoping to learn, but I couldn't find anything in the manual to help me. Can anyone give me some advice?

Is it the screw on style? If so, don't expect it to be overly sharp. I use a wide angle "adapter" occassionally on a S5000 and it works to widen the angle of view, but almost always "fuzzes" on the edges. Bottomline: Only use the wide attachment if you have no other choice, as in if your back is against a wall.
