Kinda amazing all this water is from the melting Spring snow in the high elevations in Yosemite National Park.

Nice one Toney, must get back to Yosemite - when would you suggest is the best time of year to experience it?

Thanks Christian _ of course for the waterfalls the late Spring around May and first of June are the best months but if and when I go back it'll most likely be in late July, August or early September. That way the higher elevations will be more accessible, namely Tuolumne Meadows.

Nice shot Bluedog....any shots of it hitting the bottom ?

If ever you guys are in NZ...visit Huka Falls in the North Island. We're not talking the size of Niagara Falls, but there is something like 200,000 Litres of water per second, falling over the cliff.....don't ask me what that is in gallons for you Yanks....but let's just say it's a lot.

Looks like a long way to fall :D

There's something about waterfalls that says "take me".

Tuolumne Meadows is not to be missed. It's amazing (and where John Muir first came up with the idea of making the Yosemite area a national park.

August can be kinda hot in Yosemite, but I've seen snow in June and September, so July/August is the safest bet. Besides, the heat is only really bad at the valley floor. Higher elevations (like Tuolumne Meadows) are a lot cooler.

September is also generally nice, but it can get pretty chilly at night by then (but the park's a lot less crowded after the school year's begun.)

Great shots!

I tryed a little USM on that pic. I hope you don't mind. If you do let me know and I'll remove it.

What do you think?

Thanks _ I hardly use USM any longer as in CS2 - Smart Sharpen is way more accurate in my opinion.

Looking at your editing in several places on my monitor there are areas that are too bright.
