Organizing photos from multiple folders

Looks like the wrong post was deleted..oops.
My initial question was how to locate and organize a plethora of photos that was put on a computer after moving files from 2 computers and an external hard drive to a new computer....it was a mess because the new system was running XP and my wife and myself had different log in accounts (almost like having 2 computers in one ). I had pics scattered everywhere.

Picasa came to the rescue...I heard about it and downloaded it....was able to track down every image on the computer....moved files into 1 shared pictures folder (eliminating many, many duplicates and a bunch of subfolders from camera downloads.)

I found some old pics that I thought were lost:)

I'll stick with the Roxio Photo editing software, but Picassa is sure great for locating and keeping track of all your image files if things get 'mislaid'.
