Hi. I was at the beach the other day and my camera went a bit funny. I had set it to JPEG L + RAW and was taking pictures quite quickly one after another. When I went to review my images It said ' busy'.I could still take pictures but couldnt review, I guessed that It was just saving the images to my CF card because the red light indicating it was accessing the CF card was on. But it stayed like that for at least the next 20 minutes I'd say . When I tried to turn of the camera it said something like 'saving remaining images 2' and it stayed like this just trying to save 2 images for about 20 minutes. Is this meant to happen?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. :)

That's not normal if 20 minutes isn't an exaggeration but it probably just FELT that long since you were anxious to keep shooting/reviewing. It's just the buffer clearing. It happens when you go nuts on the shutter. RAW + Large JPEG is a LOT of data for that little camera to process.

Sounds like a camera malfornication to me. No es normale. :o

I wouldn't jump to the assumption yet. If you consider that just 9 images is well over 90MB of data. He did say he tried to review but could only keep taking more pics --which sounds like he was further filling the buffer, which would keep the "busy" message up there. Kind of a never ending cycle.

Of course I'm probably wrong as usual...

Hi, thanks for all your help. I formatted the CF card in the camera and tried to replicate how I was taking photos at the beach. It seems to be fine now.:)
