Better late than never - my typical 'all-purpose' bag:

Well, I'm not as "primed" as Christian is to pop a shot, but I do try to make a showing. ;)
Wear this for a few miles and we'll talk weight considerations.

Normally, I wouldn't carry the EOS-3 with on selected shoots. In its place would be the TAmROn SP AF11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 Di-II LD
Alternately, if it is a FILM shoot, the EOS 20D still goes along for lighting tests and the TAmROn SP AF17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di-II LD comes out and the TAmROn SP AF28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD goes in.
This bag give a whole new meaning to "drag and drop" ... you drag it with you and just drop dead when you get home.
Yes, before someone asks, the image was taken with a SONY A100 using a Minolta 28mm f/2.8 and Super SteadyShot. :p
You can also slip the 9mm "security attachment" in the rear pocket, in lieu of color and gray cards.
Put this baby on and let the Photographic Holiday ... in Europe, begin. Ain't that right "RichNY"?

In my Domke F-5XB I carry a 20D, and two lenses, a 24-105mm and a 17-40mm. A battery charger, and extra CFC's. That's usually it.

Still packed from yesterday's wedding - I think I'm gonna drop the 20D soon and just run with the 5D and the Nikon D80. I'm starting to get a lot more comfortable with the Nikon, and three cameras around my neck is too much!

CDI,
Shouldn't that be show your Camera Bagssssssssssss? My latest is the large rolling Tenba Shootout backpack--the wheels are hidden from view when used as a backpack. I own the black with olive trim version and also have the raincover for it, which usually doesn't come with the large rolling version. And yes, I can fill it easily considering the equipment I own and my 17" widescreen notebook fits inside the Tenba as well.

Well I didn't get my new lens today, so I decided to get a bag on my way home. Not that much of an impulse buy, I've been looking at it for a while and I going skating on the canal tomorrow and my old side bag thing is garbage for that kind of stuff so here is my new pack.
The Tamrac Adventure 9, it's carry on compatible, large comfortable straps with waist and chest straps. It holds my 17'' laptop snugly and has a top compartment that can either be removed for added camera gear, or be used with the divider for snacks, clothing, ect.
Picture taken with my A95... wow! does it ever suck!... I just put it in auto because the thing just confuses me.:o hehe.....
My "rolling backpack" shown without my 17" widescreen notebook stuffed in the rear compartment. And since it can get heavy and haul more than I want to at one time--the smaller bags rise to the occassion.

Brings back memories this.....
While the wife was shopping elsewhere, had purchased the 400D and 70-300mm lens from one shop in Hong Kong, dropped that off in our Hotel room, then raced across from HK Island to mainland HK to buy the 17-70mm lens from another shop. Was leaving the shop with the 17-70mm lens and was about to board the train then realised I'd forgotten to buy the camera bag.
So back to the shop to buy the bag (Lowepro)
.....then the long wait back in the Hotel room waiting for my wife to return and wondering what she was going to say
(Never been so scared in my life :D.....well except for all those times I was waiting for my father to get home :( )

I think the phrase "How Much" was bandied about several times while I was trying to explain the savings I had made compared to Aussie prices :D .
Let's just say that she ended up buying a few extra handbags on that trip.....and I didn't protest too loudly :o

LOL......So let's just say that the money you saved bought her handbags and that in turn bought you your innocence. You walked home with a new camera and a happy wife for the same price for just the camera back home. Nice one mate!:p

This is my very humble bag (looking forward to building up my collection :D )... Currently using a sling bag which came along with a basic tripod I bought 2 years ago since the Canon "camera bag" included with my 30D purchase is quite small and crappy.
1: Canon EOS 30D with kit lens attached
2: EF 75-300 non-IS USM
3: 430EX
4: Pocket 1 with lens cleaning cloth
5: Pocket 2 with mini tripod (actually for compact cameras but better than nothing when I don't bring the large one)
Most of the time, I leave the 75-300 at home while the 430 rides in the bag. But when I do bring the 75-300, then I have to stuff the flash into one of my pants pockets.
By the way, I rarely use my 35-80 so it's mounted on one of my film cameras during so. And the 50mm gets stuffed above the kit lens when I need to bring it along (the empty space between the grip and other lens)
