I recently started my photography hobby that has quickly grown into a passion. I have a Kodak P880. It has limitations I know but it does what I need for my hobby. I have the included Kodak Easy Share software and have been using it but am not impressed with it as far as organizing and using it unless you use it with their website. I'm looking for something that will let me organize and maybe a little editing (still learning about this). What would be a good option (for the beginner I am at this point) with limited or no cost to start until I prove my photography addiction to my wife to actually incur some costs. Thanks for your input.

For free, Google Picassa, or, for a little money, Adobe Elements.

Thank you.
Well for storing and viewing your pictures you actually need no special software since you can just store them in different folders (like animals, architecture, landscape etc.) and view them with Windows image viewer.
And for editing I'd suggest you get yourself Photoshop CS2 or some other version of photoshop. Paintshop would probably do a good job as well although I'm not familiar with this program. IMHO the Photoshop rulzzz :)

I have used www.firehand.com Ember for years. Free version is fine for organization and viewing. The pay version has editing capabilities. It plays mpgs and avis, and does some other things as well :-)
