Nice thing about this college is they have wireless in the gym. They're running through the intros for the men now but I have a couple snaps from the girls whipped up quickly to post.

Thanks forno. Some of these are ISO1600 on the 10D and ISO3200 on the 30D. I didn't put them through Neatimage this time.
#3 makes me miss college:rolleyes: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice shots. I missed something earlier I guess. Are you shooting for heck of it or have you talked to someone about shooting local sports?

Don I'd be knocking down some doors. With the body of work you're producing there's no reason you can't be shooting for some of these guys.

Thanks all. SHIP already uses student photogs for their student-run publications and they have a staff photog for other stuff (website, promotions, etc). Since it's a state university, the photographer has Union job protection. So getting in is hard while getting fired would be harder yet. In other words even if they aren't happy with his work, as long as he does it they can't get rid of him. And being state funded, they can't just hire a new guy if the current guy is doing his job. I'm going to stick around and shoot for free (ie for myself, practice) to become "known" that way if/when this guy retires I have a better chance of being brought on full time.
In the meantime I'll also shoot at Wilson and sell single photos to their sports department as they want/need them to make a few bucks, and become known there as well with the same possibilities for a staff job. They also sent me a letter of invitation to bid on a class reunion photo job in June...~260 print sales and only 2 hours of shooting. I have to get some more details before I bid but getting a letter tells me people are either talking or they at least found me in the phone book.
Freelance is fun but the lack of steady income isn't.
