Dude,
What is your "favorite" or "most used" PRIME lens on your Canon EOS?
Sorry, I couldn't list "everything", but this covers a good field of 'em.

Ok, I had to pick the only prime I own, the 50mm 1.8. I hope to get the 85mm 1.8 and the 30mm 1.4 sigma or if I win the loto the Canon 35mm 1.4.

I voted for the 85 because my very favorite, the 135 f2 wasn't an option.

My favorite prime lens isn't on the list. 135mm f/2.8 soft focus. The only reason it's my favorite though is cuz my only other prime lens is the 50mm f/1.8 and while it delivers good quality and great speed i find the autofocus on it to not be terribly accurate and the non usm motor is to blame. (Although my 135mm f/2.8 SF isn't usm either it's far more accurate and quick.) I LOVE the soft effect for portraits. I haven't been able to achieve that type of softness with photoshop (of course that may be because i'm not doing it right.) But i'm a purist anyways and i like to have things done right in the camera. Plus i can use it on my elan 7e and achieve soft focus with my black and white stuff.

Me too. :(
Where's the 300/2.8 IS option?

In a complete and utterly silly reaction to the "overwhelming" response to the PRIME question, I have added ten other primes to choose from, to keep it fair. They are located in a Par Deux poll to be found in this forum.
I would not want to deny someone the oppotunity to tout their favorite piece of fixed-focal-length glass in front of the free-world.
Have at it, gang ... let's see who likes what.

i picked the only prime i own. 50mm f/1.4.
really sharp and focuses extremely fast...and 1.4!
i do really want to get the 85mm f/1.8 and MAYBE the sigma 30mm f/1.4. one day. the 85 will come first though.

The fixed-focal-length follies are about to begin, with Spring coming on soon. Pick the lens you use for "razor sharp" imaging ... for plants, for babes, for cars, for everything ...
If it isn't on this list ... try the next.

Wow, 3 of the 5 primes I am considering are all not on your 2 lists, Don...
Where is the EF 400 f5.6 L USM? The EF 100mm f2.8 USM Macro? The EF 180mm f3.5 L USM?
Make a 3rd list already!

My only prime is the 50mm f/1.8. I didn't vote for it. Of those listed, I think I'd like the 85mm f/1.2L the most. If only I had the $$$
Or maybe someone wants to donate one to the cause... ;)
It was the 35L, but that's acting up in low light (consistently OOF on 3 bodies) but my new favorite is the 85 f1.8. A slightly tougher length on a crop, but the bokeh and AF beats the 50 f1.4 so I've been using it a lot.
That's because the shots are amazing and the AF is really good. To be fair; I've only had it a week.
My 300 f4L IS actually takes the best shots of all my primes (OK, also of all my zooms) but of course the length doesn't lend itself to my new photo activity (weddings and couples). Although; I did stick it on my 2nd body during this last ceremony, ready on it's dedicated tripod, and I'm really happy with the 5 or so images I did shoot straight up the isle (ring shots) - right before I scurried up the isle to get some 24-105 shots of same. The DOF, even from the back of the church, left either the couple or the minister slightly OOF.
The EF-S 60 f2.8 is sort of a cool lens too because of really nice Macro capability in the same package with a perfect portrait length. It takes nice non-macro shots too, but I haven't really exercised it's AF capability in low light yet and it's likely going to struggle.
