I just got this bag about a week ago. I have not had much of a chance to take it anywhere. This is just a review on how things fit.
Top:
I have a Canon 20D with batt. grip and with the kit lens... I dont think it fits good... if at all, maybe if the bottom compartment was not so full. With the 50mm lens it fits nice, although it has to go in sideways. It is kind of nice that way.. you can just grab the camera with your trigger finger/hand and pull it out of the bag.
Bottom:
I have my Canon 70-200 f/2.8 with hood and tripod mount on right side and my Canon 100 f/2.8 Macro, 580EX speedlight and some misc. crap at the left side. Thats about it for the bottom.
Sides:
There is a lot of room on the sides. I will keep my charger, card reader, camera strap and some spare batt. for flash on the left side. on the right side I will keep my manuals for the camera, flash & macro lens + a usb cable.
there is still room on the sides for more stuff.
Back:
the back fits my dell inspiron 8500 (15.4 widescreen) laptop just fine, tight fit! The only thing that I might try and squeeze in is the p/s for the laptop.
The bag looks great and feels solid. I had everything I could fit in it and the handle seemed fine (that was a lot of weight!) The whole bag is made up of velcro (sp?) deviders that you can remove/rearrange. The bag looks like its made well and for $80 (ebags) I think its a great deal. only time will tell if the quality will hold up. I will revise this review when I get some use out of it.
Thanks,
Tim
P.s. I think you can strap the kit lens to the outside if you want to take that along :D
