Is the 30D worth the extra coin?
I do like the 5fs vs. 3fs but other than that, what else is there.
Does that extra wheel make that big a difference?
Let's hear what you have to say.

There are lots of differences. You just have to decide if those make it worth it for you or not. Do some searches read reviews, this is the only way for you to get complete accurate information. I can't remember all the differences . . . better build quality, larger physical size, larger buffer (maybe) spot metering, ISO in 1/3 stop increments, bigger viewfinder, more durable shutter 100,000 clicks, "The wheel" this makes usuability soooo much nicer. But, they might not be enough for someone to pick. just depends on personal preferences. Good luck.

Agreed. Do some research. Lots of review sites, spec lists, etc.

I would also recommend going into a store and getting your hands on both. I was in the same delema when the 350xt first came out... I bought the 350 because it was half the price at the time but after a few days, it really didnt feel right in my big hands so I got the 30d. PERFECT fit and I Love it....
Good luck

However, I would add - figure out what lenses you'll want to start with and buy the best you can afford, then with whats leftover, decide on a body - you'll have plenty of new options to consider after you break everything in and learn what your doing 18months down the road. ;) But those lenses you'll mount on many different bodies over the years to come.
