Our dog just had puppies and the pups dont sit still and pose, and our old digital camera has a lag time that is absurd. In camera reviews, I rarely see lag time discussed. Is there an easy way to sort all the models and find an excellent camera with little if any lagtime which is not incredibly expensive?

There are at least two other websites that have camera reviews that do indeed discuss lag time, both unfocused and pre-focused. I don't have the url's, and I normally wouldn't post them here anyway as a courtesy to this site. Just do a quick search, and I'm sure you will find them. You'll have enough info. to keep you busy for days.....

One reviewer is Steve's Digicams (http://www.steves-digicams.com/hardware_reviews.html). Most of the newer cameras are very fast in terms of recovery and next shot speed. The newest Canons with Digic II chipsets seem to be among the best in terms of speed. They are found in cameras such as the Canon SD300. To take advantage of the speed, be sure to get a high read/write speed memory card such as the latest Lexar Media, Sandisk or Kodak cards. Generic or "no name" cards are cheaper but often suffer from slower read/write times.
