View Full Version : DX 6490 Question

I'm considering buying a DX6490 and was wondering if I could add any filters or lenses to it? The review didn't mention any as an accessory but the DX7690 did if you got the DX6490/7690 conversion lens.
Can someone help me out?

You can now.
When the reviews came out, nobody knew about the inner thread to attach the adapter.
Now it's available from Kodak, you can attach all 55mm threaded accessories to it.

Thanks Cold Snail!!
What do you think about this camera? How do you think it compares to the Olympus C770?

I have not used the Olympus so I cannot comment on a comparison, but my old 6490 is now up to around 19,000 shots and I'm just about to have POTD featured in Times Square NYC (See other thread for picture) and I have learnt a hell of a lot in the year that I've had it.
It looks a bit rough around the edges, but is still working perfectly after all this abuse and with some extra lenses, it does open up a lot more potential.
I use an Olympus tcon-17 on my camera sometimes, which screws straight on the adapter which then pushes the focal length to 646mm (In 35mm speak) and also the w/a lens, which brings it down to 26.6mm. (35mm speak)
