Hi, I recently bought one off ebay but the charger/battery is not working. The shop i bought it off is sending me out a replacement but i probably wont have it in time for new years.

The charger is receiving power but the inicator that tells you when its charging is flashing and not staying lit. The manual says that when this heappens it means the battery temprature is either too high or too low so it will take longer to charge.
It hasnt a charged at all for me. Is there anything i could do to fix it ? The battery is a lithium ion type.

Thanks !

That flashing light might be a bad battery tripping the overload (or 'completed') sensor in the charger.

About the only thing you could do before New Year's Eve is take everything to a camera store that has that special 007 battery in stock, and hopefully try your charger on their demo camera's battery before you buy a replacement battery from them. I think they cost around US$40.

Otherwise just wait for the replacement to arrive.

Thanks for the response. I've tried what you said but most camera shops over here are only selling the camera now. Its one of the newest versions here so it hard to find a shop that might have a replacement battery or even the camera. I've bought a replacement battery off ebay just incase i need it when i'm travelling so i'll hopefully have two batteries shortly. It also comes with an ac adapter for charging.

I suppose my phone will have to do for my new years photos. lol
