I just want a nice and straight forward point and click camera, I am intersted in something with a bit of features so I can learn with but nothing OTT. I just love to snap snap snap basically! I really liked my last camera but my girlfriend f*cking lost it!!

Budget - Although this varies greatly I know, anything from £80-£150, obviously less the better but I'm willing to spend a bit more if need be.

Size - Preferably a neat little small one, but I don't mind it being a bit chunkier if neccesary.

Features - Standard Optical Zoom, Would like a really nice sharp picture.. Never used the manual controls but would be interested if you think it would be beneficial.

Usage - Camera is almost 99% used for family pics and pics of my 2 year old son, lots of indoor shots and LOTS of outdoor shots at the beach, on walks, out playing etc :)

Brands - I had a Sony S-600 last, which I really enjoyed, I also owned an older HP and an Olympus both I found were terrible in very different ways.

Don't need any special features :)

Thanks everyone!

Phil

PS Happy xmas!

By the way, a few I've looked at to consider have been -

Sony W50
Sony DSCT5
Kodak C875
Fuji F20
Nikon Coolpix L3
Fujifilm S5600 (Although this is SLR?)

Arg I've looked at so many! lol

On your list I like Sony W50, Kodak C875, Fuji F20, Fujifilm S5600. S5600 is not a dSLR but it is close to a dSLR in size.

Other good small ones are Canon A540, A630, SD600.
