Olympus SP 320 vs. Canon A 540

Olympus SP 320 versus Canon A 540

Hello, I'm looking for a good digital camera with many manual options. I've been looking at the Olympus SP320 and the Canon A540.

I like the 4x optical zoom from the Canon and the RAW-possibility and the way it looks of the Olympus.
They cost approximately the same.

- Which do You think is best?

- Is the Olympus as slow (time tot take 1 picture, time between pictures) as is said in several forums?

- Are there other good alternatives for about the same price (around 200 €)?

I have the Olympus SP350, the next model up the range. That certainly is slow, especially when using RAW.

Another problem I found - I was hoping to use it with NiMH rechargeable batteries. However, it appears that the slightly lower voltage of these is insufficient for the Oly. I ended up getting a rechargeable CRV-3 Li-ion, which works fine. It takes good pictures.

I don't know much about the Canon A540, so I can't really compare them.
