Pentax has also introduced new firmware for the *ist DS (ver 2.02), *ist DL (ver 1.03), *ist DS2 (ver 1.02), *ist DL (ver 1.02), K100D (ver 1.02) and K110D (ver 1.02).All of these updates simply "improve SDHC support" over previous versions. Check it out and update at Pentax.com

But as to my personal experience with ALL BRAND digicam FW updates plus my own recent checkout I can tell at least that for K100D ver. 1.02 IMPROVED the LL focusing at least :-) (speed and accuracy IMO- not to the K10D level but still feelable (experience of 5000+ shots with ver 1.01 versus latest 2 days ones))
BTW noone will tell You that they had a flaw in the sold product- they fix it quietly
So IMO- do not hesitate, upgrade! (You can always return to 1.01 with K100D :-)- I did to check out my findings with LL AF improvement- and returned to 1.02)

Omg I wish I could just patch my Samsung with the DL2 firmware. Grrr. Dammit Samsung, hurry the hell up with the GX 1L firmware. Didn't drop $700CAN for nothing! :mad:
