second hand stuff will be ok too..

Check your import duty - you might end up paying a ton more.

but service like fedex is quite cheap and reliable isnt it?

Depends on what your definition of "cheap" is. I do a decent amount of international shipping at where I work. The most common item I have shipped is a $1000 laptop. Typically, to a country in Europe, there is a 16% DDP, so that's $160 right there. Since we use a corporate shipping account, I don't know the actual shipping rate. I imagine using DHL the cost would be at least $100 for the abovementioned laptop via priority international shipping. DHL is definitely the best mainstream international shipping service, but I'm sure Fedex and UPS is generally fine.

The reason you see Fedex a lot is that they have intra-Israel service.

Also, what happens if you receive a damaged/defective part, or need warranty work done? Shipping fees are usually not covered under warranty.
