ok, I'm looking to buy a new camera... and the f30 and 700is seem to be the top competition, but maybe I missed a batter option... anyway here goes:

Budget

* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Please be as specific as possible.
300-350 tops

Size

* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?
small enough to fit in a pocket of a jacket or cargo shorts and be easily removed

Features

How many megapixels will suffice for you? 6+

* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify) standard will be fine, but more is better

* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10) 11! after having a camera that 1/2 of the pictures are pure junk, I want great pictures

Do you care for manual controls? sure, if they are easy enough to get to

General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for? "normal" portrait type photos, landscapes,

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not? some, but more 5x7 sized

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?some, but not a lot

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate? I hate the minolta I have, but it's older too

Are there particular models you already have in mind? f30 fuji, and the sd700is canon, but open to almost any

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) IS would be nice, since I almost NEVER have a tripod when i need it... I like to walk around and take pics... I do use a 4" table top tripod sometimes though...
