Allright after alot of thinking I finally bought a Nikon d50 and from past threads I was told that investing in a good lense in the first place is a good decision, (My order is on hold, im indecisive)

I went with buying the D50 body, Tamron SP AF 17-35MM which was recomended to me, and heard very good reviews about.

And I got a Tamron 28-200mm Lens for a little zoom. The 28mm-200mm was bought at a good price. I heard its a medocre lense though. But a good deal.

I figured the Tamron 17-35mm was better than the kit 15-55mm., do you agree. And should I state what it will be using it for becuase would that make the diffrence in which is a better lense. altough I heard the Tamrom was an overall better lense

And I figured the Tamrom 28-200mm lense was overall better than the Nikon 70-300mm F/4-5.6G AF Zoom. It has less zoom but I read it was an overall better lense.

How do you guys/gals feel about the lense choices I made?

I have no clue how those 2 lenses perform. The 17-35 seems a little bit wide and you might regret not going with the 15-55 for the extra 20mm, or you might be well pleased with the lens. You'll hve to wait for some people that have actually used to give their opinions on the two lenses though. I'm guess that that 28-200 will have some barrel distortion at the 200mm end...

I wanted a wider lesne, it dosent have much distortion also.

Here's a sample handheld photo from the other night that I took with the Nikkor 17-55 F/2.8 (borrowed it) and no flash. Seems to cover both basis though it is an expensive lens. By the way, the photo is not cropped so what you see is what I got.
