Hi,
I am looking for a 28-135 Canon Lens for my 300D.
I have been offered a lens as follows:
Lens Brand: Canon

Lens Type: Macro, Telephoto, Zoom
To Fit Camera: Canon

Ring Ultrasonic Motor Zoom Lens with Full Time Manual

Canon EF 35-135mm f/4-5.6 Lens in Like NEW Condition
Made in Japan

Fits ALL EOS DIGITAL and EOS FILM cameras.
For digital cameras, it works as a 56-216mm standard to telephoto zoom lens. (except 5D and 1Ds)
It can be used as a MACRO lens as well.
Canon's verstile Ultrasonic Compact Telephoto Zoom Lens equipped with both USM & FTM.

With EF 35-135mm, you can get the great combination of the TOP OF THE LINE PERFORMANCES, EXCELLENT IMAGE QUALITY, MOBILITY and VALUE for MONEY.
Compare to inexpensive Canon lenses, superior EF 35-135mm lens has a non rotating front rim for a polarizer filter, a strong Metal Mount and a distance scale window, same as the professional L series. However, the most important feature it sports is the FULL TIME MANUAL (FTM) which allows you to adjust focus manually in auto-focus mode! You don't need to switch back to back to back between auto and manual mode. Those are the features you can find only in elite EF lenses .

I do not understand if its suitable for my camera, can anyone help

It is suitable, quite an old design but optically OK from what I can gather.

More or less.

No IS and not quite as wide. IQ should be on par.
