Hi there friends! My girlfriend is looking for a new slim digicam. I want to help her but she is picky and only wants to spend <$300US maybe max...
What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Up to $300US.
What size camera are you looking for? Prefferably SLIM.
How many megapixels will suffice for you? Would prefer 7+.
What optical zoom will you need? Important, macro is an important issue(whatever that is).
How important is “image quality” to you? 9/10
Do you care for manual controls? Yes but EasyToUse Cam is Ideal(its for a girl).
What will you generally use the camera for? Macro photography, plus general family use, outdoor/indoor, vacation etc.
Will you be making big prints of your photos or not? 8x10 max I guess.
Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? Yes
Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? Rarely
Are there particular brands you like or hate? Like:Olympys,Canon,Sony,Nikon,Casio...but never owned one myself :(
Are there particular models you already have in mind? Canon Powershots, Olmpus Stylus, Sony...
(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD):Yes, also Red Eye fixing, Good macro/close-up capabilities, Great Lens & CPU power, not much power consumption/stand-by modes perhaps, durability etc.
Again Id love to hear from you friends on some good recommendations ?
