Hi guys. I was wondering if I could get some assistance with choosing a camera. I figured it was about that time to upgrade from my Samsung a402, to something a little bit more beefy. Thanks in advance.
Budget
Nothing too expensive ($300-500.) Im a college student so I cant spare the cash to purchase a $1000 camera. On a side note, i work at Best Buy, so I can get cameras for almost cost (what BB pays for it + 5%.)
Size
Not an issue.
Features
Umm....standard optical zoom.
How many megapixels will suffice for you?
8 or more would be great. Aiming for 10 if possible. Image quality is very important.
Do you care for manual controls?
I like the ability to choose my settings. Other than that, not really sure.
General Usage
The camera is going to be used for car shows, nature, night, and family pics. No big prints.
Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?
Yes and yes.
Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?
Umm...moving cars.
Miscellaneous
From what Ive read, HP, isnt a good company. I was kinda heading towards Nikon, Fuji, Canon, or Sony, but any recommendation would be thought about. I really like the review section of this site. Gives a great in-depth look at the camera.
Im not looking for something extremely difficult to use. In fact, I loved my A402. It took decent pictures, but now Im looking to do something better. I love taking pictures, and altering them for all kinds of reasons.
