Whats thew function called when you pick a color say blue, and take a picture, the blue shows up and everything else is in black and white?

And does the Nikon d50 have this function?

I think it's called post-production.

Your camera can't do that. You have to do it the hard way in an image editing application that let's you edit selections. That's what Dennis means by "post production"

Camera Malfunction. I do think that some if not all of the Canon cameras will let you swap colors in the camera after you've captured the image, but not what you said you wanted.

It's called Color Accent and it is part of many (if not all) Canon digital cameras.

I knew that many, not all of Canons cameras have them, I knew that the S3 did, its a very neat function.

I stand corrected and apologies! My 20D does not have this and I was not aware of any "in-camera" settings to do this.

It's called Color Accent and it is part of many (if not all) Canon digital cameras.

Clarification: I meant to say part of [...] recent non-SLR Canon digital cameras (mainly consumer and prosumer).

I believe you are referring to selective coloring. It is done in post processing.
