Standard, but a little more would be nice.

8-9

I would really like manual controls if possible.

Lots of simle shots for the Internet, but also some sports shots and scenery. Some indoor with poor lighting

Maybe, but not many

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?

Yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?

Yes

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate?

I like the Canon, and the Casio. Some of the Sonys also

Are there particular models you already have in mind?

SD900, SD800IS, Cybershot N2, I like the Exilim's but don't know anything about them.

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD)

Not really sure about IS, is it necessary for something with less than 4x optical zoom? Wida Angle maybe. Don'r need the others, not even sure what Hotshoe is:) . But more features are always good.

The three above are what I have been most looking at. The Canons are probably my favorite. I don't know if the SD900 is worth an extra 100 bucks. Especially since you lose ther IS. Is the Sony as good as the Canons? Better? And how do the Exilim cameras compare? What are some other options for me that maybe I haven't seen yet? I like the small size though, or I probably would have an S3-IS already.

Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks

You should check out the buyer's guide which is right here on the DCRP (top of main page.) Read the A710 IS review and then the reviews at the bottom of that page (at least the good and bad points at the bottom).

We could all give you 2 lines of why we like this or that, but why not get all the poop from a professional reviewer?

Thanks. I did read the buyers guide. Just looking for more options. I didn't really look at the A710, I am more looking for the ultra compact. And wanted to hear some opinions or comparisons on the cameras I mentioned. Thanks for the reply:D .
