Canon Cameras-But which one?

Own a Sony dscp-71 and tired of it. Slow between shots. Just time for something new.
I am looking at the Canon power shot a710 or the compact canon sd800is
Any Ideas.? Trying to stay around 400 dollars.
My biggest concerns are photo quality and speed between photos. Trying to keep a 2 year old still requires speed between shots- Thanks
I was also told canons' OIS allows no flash to help reduce red eye???

A710 has more zoom and features.

I think I am answering my own question here. I went with the the 800 as both me & my wife are basic point and shooters and the zoom is not a big deal for us-Thanks.:)
