If I had a million dollars I wouldn't have just one camera.

With money as no object it's silly to restrict your self to one camera, because no single camera does everything well.

I'd agree that there is no single camera that is absolutely perfect, no matter what the price is. If I had an unlimited amount of cash to spend on cameras, the Canon EOS 20D and Nikon D70 are two cameras that are close to perfect.

A agree those are excellent dSLRs, but if I want a camera to slip into my pocket for a night out, they will be useless. You have to define the criteria before you can pick a "best" camera.

Also sod the camera bag! I think I'd get a Aston Martin DB9 (http://www.astonmartin.com/thecars/db9) to carry my camera kit in, especially when that is about all you could fit in it's boot :)

I'd be pretty happy with a Nikon D2X....I'd spend the rest on lenses :p

I think I'd probably keep the cameras I have and would spend the money on knocking over the British government to install myself as a dictator. Then I'd ensure that living conditions would improve tremendously for all my subjects.
