sd630 unknown device (need help) - using usb

my dell recently is not recognizing my sd630 camera. it keeps saying that the device is now properly installed, but then it goes that it is a "unknown device". i've tried it on my other computers and they recognize the sd630.

i've also tried to plug in the usb into her printer, and it gives the same results. what is the problem? :confused:

Hmm, that sounds wierd. I would try asking in another forum. Most of us around here will be able to help with camera problems, but this seems to be a problem with your specific computer because other computers recognize the camera properly. I would make sure all Canon software is up to date and run windowsupdate to make sure all drivers etc. are up to date as well. If that doesn't work, try contacting Dell Customer Service.
