i want to buy this camera, preferably before xmas and wanted to know if this is a good price. office depot has it for this price after an instant 20% off until 12/9.

that's a good price....but don't buy from just any retailer.

You'll end up waiting weeks for the camera.

I bought my SD700 from Etronics.com - took forever.

Then I bought my S3 IS from BeachCamera.com and they shipped the next day, received it in 2 business days and that was free shipping.

they didn't have it in stock, so they ordered it. they said it would be in next week, as they have another sale (not as good as this one) starting on sunday. if it's not there, i will look someplace else.
