This almost seals my decision to buy the Tamron.

Do people put fake snow on there roofs down there?

I'm midway through lighting my front yard. Found 3 broken strands of lights. It'd take forever to find the cause of the power outage on two of them. The 3rd is easy enough - a tree branch snapped it last year. But... time to buy new. I fancy the new rope lights.

Whats the source of that bright green flare in the first photo? Does that curb have some kind of reflect coating?

Excellent night shots. I'd love to be able to get shots that good at night.

Great shots,

I have no idea where people find time for putting all those lights up. Let alone power bills.

love the lights.

I can never get pictures like that. I always end up with streaks of lights. LOL

Lol. I spent about three evenings and all day Sunday putting my lights out. I didn't put out as much as those shown though. My most time-taking task was finding out which sets of lights worked and which didn't. At $2 per strand (30 feet) it's not really worth tracing along a length to find which bulb has blown and extinguished a lot of other lights. Blown fuses are much easier to find and fix. In terms of power usage, the fuses are 3 amp on most strings and I'm using two power sources, about 8 strands, two animated and illuminated reindeer and an illuminated archway. Let's say that's 6 amps total (it's probably a lot less). Then let's see the amount I leave them on which is from dusk (about 6pm) until about 9/10pm when we retire for the night. So, at 6amps over 4 hours per night over about 3 weeks we're talking 24 amp hours per day and 464 amp hours for the whole Christmas period. I don't know how much that all costs but compared to air-conditioning all summer it's peanuts.
