Soligor x 1.7 TeleConverter - Proud Owner

I'm always trying to see just that little further through the lens. Therefore, after viewing previous threads, decided on getting the Soligor as recommended by Coldrain.....am I the only one missing him ?

Anyway, I purchased it directly through Peggy at Soligor (as mentioned in the previous threads) and can confirm that she was extremely helpful.

I have attached two pictures below to show the difference in telephoto reach that the Soligor makes.

(I'm really quite a sight standing on my balcony with 2 crutches, one leg brace and a zoom lens) :eek:

Unfortunately....I still can't get a good look at that blonde getting dressed each morning :D :D :D

These photos were taken with the 400D and Canon 70-300mm IS Lens (at 300mm).....and yes, IS still works with the converter.
I would estimate this house to be approx 300-350m away.

Looks like the blonde's gunna have to wait. Since the wife was home when the lens arrived.....I asked her to pack it away for me as a Chrissie pressy :D :D
