Don't buy solely on price

Many online sellers will sell a product to you at a good price. But don't you want to know whether you will be hassled or ripped off if you decide to return something? For digital cameras, dbuys charges a 10% restocking fee per their website. When I decided to return a camera, I confirmed with an agent that I would be charged a 10% restocking fee. I returned the camera in the exact same condition that I received it. A few days later I went online to find I had been charged a 25% restocking fee! I called and was told the camera was in bad shape with scratches on the lens and case. I assure you this absolutely was not the case. I am a gadget geek and take extra-special care of my electronics. I was even more careful in the case of this camera as I suspected that I might want to return it. I was told that I would be called back by the "returns inspector" but never got a call. From now on I will stick with reputable merchants like Newegg and Amazon and avoid buying solely on price.
