A630 Loose Zoom Lever?

The shutter release/zoom lever assembly on my Canon Powershot A630 seems very loose, with probably an eighth inch of "play" in all directions. I have not really noticed this until recently, have had the camera from new (Gateway) for about a month now. Is this normal, or is there a problem developing here? Thanks.

the A620 had the same issue. I would call for an exchange...

Truflip, where can I find info. on the same issues that you say the A620 had? I found no mention of this being a problem while researching both cameras before purchase. I would like to be able to refer to this as being an ongoing issue before I contact either the retailer or manufacturer.

sorry i should have clarified that its a known issue. there was a small batch of the A620's with the bad zoom levers...

my friend had one and ive seen some other people at different forums reporting the same issue. if you bought it at a store locally... it shouldnt be that hard to exchange it... unless its past the return period.
