Hello, I'm new to this forum.

My Powershot A60 is dying (yeah, I know this is an old camera) so I broke down and bought a A640 to replace it. So far I am liking the new camera.:D

One of the accessories I had for my old A60 was the TC-DC52 teleconvertor lens, which I was hoping to use on my A640 (via a step-down ring) since it had a 2.4X magnification. This is better than the TC-DC58N's 1.75X magnification and I was hoping to not have to buy new lenses.

However, all photos with the TC-DC52 attached to my A640 have severe distortion and bad color aberation to boot. This is so severe that I know it isn't just that I have 5X the megapixels I had before. Is there any way to correct this or is this tele-convertor simply not designed to work with the A640?
