I know that the Canon 400D XTi can do black and white photos. Is there a setting for Sepia?

There isn't a sepia picture style in 30D.
If you want sepia I think the canon software can convert it.

I know on the 20D you can take photographs in sepia toning. Personaly i'd take the photograph in color then convert it.
menu>parameters>b&w>toning effect>sepia
Im not sure if it's on the xti. but if it is it should be under parameters.

Wow look at that.
Found it, under picture style if you bring up the monocrhome or one of the user mode,s go to toning effect, sepia in there.
Didn't know about that :) Neat.
I'd still shoot color though and convert in software unless you need to print right there.
